My Philosophy of Education

My Philosophy of Education

According to Aristotle education is the process of training man to fulfill his aim by exercising all the faculties to the fullest extent as a member of society, and according to Nelson Mandela it is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world to me it is a form of learning in which the knowledge skills and habits of a group of people are transferred from one generation to next through teaching and trainings it prepares a person to face everyday life.

My philosophy of education is progressivism that aims in teaching information that came from their experience, and the aim of education here is to develop learners to become enlightened and intelligent citizens.

Curriculum is what is taught in a given course or subject. Curriculum refers to an interactive system of instruction and learning with specific goals, contents, strategies, measurement, and resources. The desired outcome of curriculum is successful transfer and/or development of knowledge, skills, and attitudes.

A good curriculum is one in which we address the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and intellectual health of the child, in a joined-up way. Young people should learn to question and be encouraged to make a meaningful contribution throughout their lives for the good of us all.

To add my method of teaching is based on Curriculum that respond to students need and relate their personal lives and experience. Me as a science teacher I teach students things that are practical for life and encourage them to grow into better people, I also teach students the skills to cope with change, I believe that students learn by doing the experiments by themselves.

In other hand Teachers are ultimately responsible for classroom management, however students play an important role as well. Students directly inform the structure and learning atmosphere as members of the classroom community. Together, they create a culture of learning, accountability and inclusivity.

A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.

Finally, the aim of education is to provide direction to the process of education, and there are different aims of education like social aim, vocational aim, cultural aim, moral aim, spiritual aim, etc.
